Job Summary:

Lake Highland's Lower School seeks a School Counselor to support the social, emotional, and academic development of primary-grade students (PK-2) by providing comprehensive guidance and counseling services. This role implements a proactive, developmental counseling program to foster a supportive learning environment and address the unique needs of the school's youngest learners and leads proactive parent and staff education workshops on developmental issues specific to primary grades, building the capacity of the entire school community to support student well-being.

This is a full-time, fully benefited, exempt, 12-month position. We encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in School Counseling, School Psychology, or a closely related field is required; Master’s degree in School Counseling, Guidance, or an equivalent specialization is strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in primary grades (PK-2) school counseling or guidance is strongly preferred.
