Randolph School is seeking a Safety and Security Officer. Under the direction of the Safety and Security Manager, the successful candidate will foster a secure and prepared environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The Safety Officer will have excellent communication skills and an ability to work independently and as part of a team, with adaptability, dependability, and forward thinking.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Interact with faculty, staff, and administration with superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Assist in daily safety and security protocols
  • Monitor the physical campus via regular rounds
  • Respond promptly to safety and security incidents and assist with corrective actions as needed
  • Assist in scheduling, conducting, and documenting safety drills
  • Provide security coverage at school events, including athletic competitions, graduation, and other large gatherings
  • Enforce campus safety and security policies consistently and respectfully
  • Assist with training and educating staff, students, and visitors on safety and security expectations
  • Assist with visitor check-in and verification processes and in communication with reception areas
  • Support coordination with local emergency services during drills or actual incidents

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of safety and security experience in an educational or non-profit setting
  • Physical ability to conduct regular patrols and respond quickly in emergency situations
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Current drivers license and personal vehicle insurance
