Position Summary: The Admissions Counselor serves as an initial point of contact for prospective families and must demonstrate a warm, welcoming, and positive disposition along with a high degree of professionalism. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Admissions, the Admissions Counselor should be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
 
Specific Duties Include:
  • Establish strong relationships with prospective families
  • Implement a strategic and thoughtful communication plan to move families through the admissions funnel, with a focus on conversion of leads/inquiries to applicants who matriculate
  • Conduct individual and small group tours
  • Work with school administration and staff to personalize the student and family experience
  • Conduct applicant interviews
  • Assist with admissions testing
  • Assist in the planning and execution of feeder school visits and other admissions-related events. Represent the Academy at events as needed; occasional attendance is required on weekends and evenings
  • Other Duties as assigned

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
  • Willingness to be flexible and open to change
  • Technology skills: Competency with Microsoft Office and G Suite; knowledge of admissions software and CRM platforms a plus
Minimum Job Qualifications: 
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Physical ability to spend extensive time walking visitors around campus

The Admissions Counselor is an exempt, twelve-month position. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
