Responsibilities - Reporting to the Head of Lower School, the Lower School Receptionist will be responsible for the following:
- Act as the first point of contact for the school: welcoming all incoming students, families, and guests respectfully and professionally while responding to inquiries in a helpful and constructive manner and ensuring that appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner.
- Perform general clerical functions for the purpose of supporting and maintaining professional front office operations.
- Maintain appearance of the Lower School lobby, front desk, and faculty kitchen. Organize and stock educator workroom.
- Prepare and distribute daily attendance, absences, and tardy reports; enter information into the School Pass and Blackbaud student information systems; generate lists, rosters, and reports as needed.
- Manages substitute schedules and placements for Lower School.
- Live the school’s mission and core values of respect, integrity, service, excellence, and responsibility.
Qualifications - The following experience, skills & knowledge are required and/or preferred:
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- 2+ years’ experience as an administrative assistant and/or receptionist required.
- Strong interpersonal skills; Self-directed individual who is solution oriented, flexible and works well with teams and individuals while possessing a positive attitude.
- Ability to multi-task/exceptional attention to detail.
- Must possess strong writing, verbal, and organizational skills; Must have knowledge of and be comfortable working with technology.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a 12-month full-time non-exempt position available immediately. Compensation is highly competitive and commensurate with experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
