The ideal Technology Science candidate will teach Computer Science, Web and App Design, Gaming Design, and Cybersecurity while integrating faith-based principles into a hands-on, real-world curriculum. This educator will inspire students through engaging, interactive lessons emphasizing problem-solving, critical thinking, and innovation. The teacher will foster a supportive learning environment that nurtures students’ technical skills, creativity, and ethical responsibility in technology. Candidates should have a strong background in computer science and digital design, a commitment to Christian education, and a desire to mentor students in both their academic and spiritual growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates a classroom environment that fosters a desire to learn and develops a culture of excellence.
  • Develops lesson plans based on MPCS curriculum guidelines.
  • Works cooperatively with MPCS Instructional Coaches to learn feedback and continuously improve quality of instruction.
  • Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
  • Maintains overall professionalism adhering to the MPCS guidelines.
  • Supports the value of an education founded in Christian values.
  • Supports the philosophy and mission of Mount Pisgah Christian School.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience preferably in an educational environment.
  • Willingness to engage in a ministerial, mentoring role with students & genuine ability to connect with and serve young people in a Christian community
  • Fundamental understanding of and commitment to the MPCS culture, mission, and vision
  • Team player with a positive attitude, proactive approach, and a customer service mindset
  • A mission-driven individual who demonstrates an eagerness to serve in a faith-based academic environment & genuine ability to connect with and serve young people in a Christian community. 
  • Communications: Effective written, verbal, and editing communication skills.   Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Collaboration: Has student-centered focus and ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including students, families, faculty, staff, and community partners.

  • Occasionally work nights and weekends in support of departmental school activities.
