The Woodward Academy girls lacrosse program will compete next year at the Class 5A level in region 3 of the Georgia High School Association (GHSA).
 
This position begins August 1, 2024 and is for the 2024-25 school year. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced teacher and lacrosse coach who is energetic, hard-working, and motivated to work with the Director of Athletics to maintain and improve this program.

 

Specific Duties Include:

  • Manages all aspects of the girl’s lacrosse program including middle school, junior varsity, and varsity teams.
  • Schedules practices, contests, arranges travel and transportation, adheres to budgetary guidelines, purchases equipment, and maintains inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Trains all lacrosse student athletes to improve their skills.
  • Conduct all activities with the highest ethical standards and adhere to all GHSA rules and guidelines.
  • Occasionally chaperone students on overnight trips.
Required Skills:

  • Record of successful high school or college coaching, including success at the state or national level.

  • Ability to demonstrate patience while engaging and challenging students.

  • Ability to communicate in a highly professional manner and build supportive relationships with students, parents, and administrators.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree.

  • Experience coaching lacrosse in high school or collegiate level preferred.

The Head Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach position is an exempt, salaried position. Per GHSA rules, head coaches are required to be a full time employee of the institution they represent. Teaching positions can be found on our school website. EOE.
